Key Responsibilities Safely drive a multi-drop delivery vehicle (Class 1 or Class 2, depending on role) along planned routes Load-check and secure temperature-controlled goods before departure, verifying against delivery paperwork Make multiple customer deliveries per shift, unloading using pallet trucks, cages or manual handling as needed Obtain proof of delivery (signature/scan) and handle basic customer queries professionally and courteously Complete all legally required vehicle checks (walk-round checks), defect reporting, and tachograph records Maintain compliance with drivers' hours regulations, Driver CPC requirements, and company transport policies Monitor and maintain product temperature integrity throughout the delivery run Return completed paperwork, cash/card transactions (where applicable) and undelivered stock to the depot Report any vehicle faults, near-misses, or delivery issues promptly to the transport office
- What We're Looking For
- (Code 10 and or Code 14) K53
- No more than the permitted number of penalty points as per company driving policy
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience is desirable but not always essential
- Confident using pallet trucks, tail-lifts, and manual handling equipment for unloading
- Strong customer service manner — polite, presentable, and reliable when representing us at customer sites
- Good route-planning sense, timekeeping and ability to work to a schedule
- Willingness to start early and work variable multi-drop routes
