Key Responsibilities Pick customer orders accurately from designated locations using voice-pick headsets or handheld scanners Pack, label and consolidate products into totes, crates or cages ready for loading Check products for quality, damage, and correct use-by/best-before dates as you pick Meet individual and team productivity and accuracy targets within agreed timeframes Maintain correct stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and report discrepancies to your supervisor Keep your work area clean, tidy and free from hazards in line with food safety standards Operate manual handling equipment (pallet trucks, cage trolleys) safely and correctly Work safely in chilled or frozen environments where applicable, using provided PPE Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, picking, or manual handling experience is helpful but not essential — full training given
- Comfortable working at pace in a physically active role, including regular lifting, walking and standing
- Able to work in cold/chilled or frozen environments for parts of the shift where required
- Good attention to detail and a reliable, punctual approach to work
- Able to follow instructions accurately, including through voice-pick or scanning technology
- A team player who communicates well with colleagues and supervisors
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, nights or weekends
